BUTLER TWP — The Butler Golden Tornado marching band will sponsor a pie festival at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at Butler High School's Art Bernardi Stadium. The band will perform its 2010 pregame and halftime shows and the varsity football team and cheerleaders will be introduced.The $5 tickets include pie, ice cream and a beverage. Children 4 and under are free. Tickets are available from band members or at the gate.

MARS — The Mars Library, 107 Grand Ave., will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 18 to celebrate the addition of the Agnes Hudac Youth Room and Mars National Bank Community Hall.
