Edward - Thank you for the backup. I took a class at a Christian college once called World View. I considered myself conservative until I took that class, only to find that I am a flaming liberal. To think people in that class actually believe that dinosaur bones were put in the Earth by God just to make us think about it. That dinosaurs never walked upon the Earth, just bones buried underneath, to me is totally incredible. But, I digress. I disagreed with that professor the entire way through that class. I assumed that I would get a terrible grade, but I got an A and he wrote a thank you on my final paper for bringing lively discussions to the class. So I agree with you wholeheartedly. Debate is rampant, discrimination for your opinions is rare.

Chris - Oh I disagree with them on many issues, immigration comes to mind right off the bat. I plan to vote for Tom Corbett for Governor. I disagree with Rendell, most recently the tolling of I80 and trying to privatize the turnpike. I think Dan Onorato won't even win in the Pgh area, let alone the rest of the state and I really dislike Luke Ravenstahl. I disagree with Harry Reid's allowing gold mining for free on state land - and the companies that do the mining don't even pay anything!

I like President Obama and I won't apologize for it. Our standing in the world has increased greatly since the day he got elected. I'm sick of corporations writing the laws, which Bush allowed them to do the entire time he was in there.

Herb - when did I ever laugh at you using Wikipedia - except in quoting what being a journalist means. No I don't read Scaife news or watch Murdoch news. I think I've stated that enough times.

How about changing the subject - I think Roethlisberger is a disgrace and he shouldn't have gotten his suspension reduced. He paid that girl off and anybody else would be in jail.
