Gerhart

Mary Alice Ferguson Gerhart, 80, of Butler died at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday at her residence.

Born Nov. 25, 1929, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Bryson McKee Ferguson and Sarah Jane Patten Ferguson.

Mrs. Gerhart was a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church.

She was a secretary for Castle Rubber, Nationwide and the Morgan Management Co., retiring in 1972.

Mrs. Gerhart was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Mrs. Gerhart is survived by her husband, Richard L. Gerhart of Butler, whom she married Feb. 12, 1972; two sisters, Martha Marzullo of Renfrew and Sarah Jane Parker of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; and by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gerhart was preceded in death by one son.

<B>GERHART</B> — Friends of Mary Alice Ferguson Gerhart, who died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, will be received from noon until 2 p.m. Friday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. James Swanson of Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating.
