Lois "Jean" Luffy, 73, of Butler died suddenly Tuesday morning at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born in Pittsburgh, March 7, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ethel Meyers Bornscheuer.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

She was a former Avon representative for more than 35 years.

She enjoyed NASCAR racing, wrestling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Marty Luffy and his wife, Janice, of Butler; two daughters, Donna Smith and her husband, James, of Butler and Lori Campbell and her husband, Dennis, of Butler; and six grandchildren, Brian Smith and his wife, Anita, of Pittsburgh, Justin Smith of Butler, David Smith of Butler, Danielle Smith of Butler, Kristen Campbell of Butler and Taylor Campbell of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Luffy, who passed away Jan. 3, 2009; and also by one sister.

<B>LUFFY </B>— Friends of Lois "Jean" Luffy, who died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the Calvary Mausoleum.Members of the St. Paul Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at the church at 9:30 a.m. Friday to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
