Lois M. Steigerwald
Lois McMillen Steigerwald, 78, of Cranberry Township died Sunday at Kindred Hospital North Shore, Pittsburgh.
Born April 9, 1932, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Alfred L. and Ida Mae (Thomas) McConnell.
Mrs. Steigerwald played Mrs. Santa Claus for many years at Northway Mall, greeting and handing out candy canes to the children. She also worked at Comtra Theater in Cranberry Township, was an avid gardener and was an active member at the Cranberry Senior Center.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Steigerwald; daughter, Oretha Rodgers and her husband, Joseph, of Jackson Center; two sons, Randy McMillen and his wife, Jill, of Harmony and Paul Joseph Steigerwald of Butler; two brothers, James McConnell and his wife, Mary, of Raymore, Mo., and Rodney McConnell and his wife, Lois Ann, of Muncie, Ind.; two sisters, Dorothy Brown and her husband, LeRoy, and Nancy Spurk, both of Renfrew; three grandchildren, Rebecca Rodgers, Rachel Golia and Richard Rodgers; and three great-grandchildren, Alexander, Kaitlyn and Brandon Golia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Roy McMillen, who died in 1959 at the age of 32.
