Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528 near the intersection of Routes 8 and 173, hosts a mushroom walk from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Regular hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and on weekends as scheduled. The trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset for hiking. Call 724-794-6011.

Moraine State Park is the site of "Explore the Source" at 10:30 a.m. Saturday; join the park naturalist at the upper boat launch off Route 528 for a kayaking tour to explore Muddy Creek. To reserve a kayak or register, call 724-368-8811. Also, "Explore Off Shore" is planned for 1 p.m. Sunday; this kayaking experience is for those who want to get a workout. They can meet the park naturalist at the Pleasant Valley launch on the South Shore. Call 724-368-8811.

Venture Outdoors North office in Zelienople hosts its final program of the summer, "Day Trek at Raccoon Creek State Park" from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. More programs are planned for fall. See www.ventureoutdoors.org.

<B>McConnells Mill State Park</B>, Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, is the site of a Hell's Hollow walk at 2 p.m. Saturday; join the park naturalist for a leisurely paced trail walk starting from the Hell's Hollow parking lot. The historic mill is open from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Interpretive tours of the mill last about 45 minutes and are available at 1 and 2 p.m. Fridays and 1 and 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The mill is open through Labor Day.
