Act 47 & other things

So how does anyone feel about Act 47 being re-inacted by the city council? I don't believe it will affect me as much living in the city as it would if I were working in the city. According to what I read anyone working in the city will be taxes with a fee.

Also, why doesn't the city council make the police and firemen pay more for their health insurance and freeze the pensions for a few years? I don't know of any others right now that are giving raises - I see layoffs most places!

Couldn't they cut a few firemen positions? I read where the one place has so many full time and so many fireman that when they are called out are paid per call out.

And the city police? come on - if they would just stop people and issue citations for what they needed to, the city would have a lot of revenue. I see so many people going through stop signs and sitting along the road (blocking the road) or PARKED on the wrong side of the road and the police actually drive right by. I guess it takes longer to write out a ticket than they want to do. Hey, let's let the meter maids do it - they are always WAITING for the time on the meter to be up, they could be johnny on the spot for these things too! And how about the people who race each other coming down the North Main Street hill - I see a lot of tickets that could be written here.

How about permit violations in the city of Butler? This could create some revenue. Oh I forgot, this would entail leaving the comfortable seat in your office.....sorry. Any city employees want to banter?
