Mabel Lou Majors, 53, of Ridgeville, S.C., wife of David Dewayne Majors Sr., died Monday.

Born Nov. 19, 1956, in Poteau, Okla., she was one of three children of Jack Sommers and Hilda Lou Sommers.

She was formerly employed in export operations at BDP International.

Mrs. Majors is survived by her husband of seven years, David Majors; daughters, Angela Christine Davis of Charleston, S.C., and Vicki Renee Coleman of Charlotte, N.C.; a stepson, David Dewayne Majors Jr. of Butler; a stepdaughter, Chrystal Michelle Anspach of Butler; brothers, Jim and Jerry Summers of Poteau, Okla.; her father-in-law, Dewayne "Buck" Majors of Butler; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Joseph Alexander Davis.

<B>MAJORS</B> — The memorial service for Mabel Lou Majors, who died Monday, July 19, 2010, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the <B>J. HENRY STUHR, NORTHWOODS CHAPEL</B>, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, S.C. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel one hour before the service.Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406; and/or the American Cancer Association, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406.A memorial message may be written to the family by visiting our website at www.jhenrystuhr.com.
