Woleshin

Helen M. Woleshin, 88, of Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, died July 4 at the VNA Hospice, Butler.

Born May 19, 1922, in Old Economy, Beaver County, she was the daughter of Wasil and Rose (Hulhanich) Woleshin.

She enjoyed crafts and the ABC quilt program.

Miss Woleshin was an enjoyable lady who loved spending time with her family and friends.

While living in Butler, she had worked at Woolworth's, Troutman's the Spaide Shirt Factory, and Hutchinson's Dry Cleaning. During World War II, she worked at the Bantam Jeep plant. In 1955, she moved to Clarion and worked at the Owens Illinois Glass Co. for 30 years.

She was a member of the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend, where she was a member of the church's Altar Rosary Society. She also belonged to the St. Vincent De Paul Society, the Bradys Bend Senior Center and was a board member of Area on Aging in Kittanning.

Surviving are a brother, Michael Woleshin of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Catherine Donohoe of Oxnard, Calif., and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her special friend, Eugenia M. Carney, with whom she shared a home for many years; her parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Woleshin, who died Sunday, July 4, 2010, will be at 10 a.m. July 17 at St. Eusebius Church, East Brady, with Father Ron Cyktor, pastor of the St. Patrick Church, Bradys Bend, officiating.Memorials may be made to the Butler VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.Arrangements are under the direction of the <B>Buechele Funeral Home</B>, East Brady.
