Fleming

Ruth B. Fleming, 94, of Butler and a lifelong resident of West Sunbury passed away Sunday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Feb. 25, 1916, in Euclid, Clay Township, the daughter of the late Andrew O. and Bertha Jane (Boyle) McKissick.

Ruth was a member of the Muddy Creek United Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school. She also belonged to the Barbara Miller Working Guild, Methuselah's Many, the Cross and Crown, the AARP, the Rebekah Lodge 19 and the Tanglewood Center.

She enjoyed quilting, reading, listening to music and watching sports.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Jo Dudley and her husband, Dr. William Dudley, of Dover, N.H.; a son, Burton L. Fleming and his wife, Judy, of West Sunbury; five grandchildren, Stephanie L. Fleming of Black Mountain, N.C., Raymond B. Fleming of Lexington Park, Md., Catherine R. Martin and her husband, Matthew, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Charlotte A. Dudley and Robert A.W. Dudley, both of Charlotte, N.C.; three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Nathaniel and Elsie Ruth Martin of Chattanooga, Tenn.

She also was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Wilson Fleming, who died Sept. 30, 1978, three brothers, two sisters, two stepsisters and two stepbrothers.

<B>FLEMING </B>— Friends of Ruth B. Fleming, who died Sunday, July 11, 2010, will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with her pastor, the Rev. Matt Kail, officiating.
