Jo Ann Price
Jo Ann Price, 82, of Mars died Sunday surrounded by her family at the St. John Specialty Care Center.
Born Dec. 29, 1927, in Cabin Creek, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Jesse Dewey and Anna Mae (Davidson) Russell.
A woman who was very strong in her Methodist faith, Jo Ann was a youth leader and choir director at her church.
She cared for handicapped children and volunteered at Camp Farley.
Jo Ann was a gifted cook who held demonstrations at Giant Eagle. In addition, she had a love for entertaining, doing ceramics, shopping and traveling to the beach.
She is survived by two daughters, Jean Hoagland and her husband, Ralph, of Cranberry Township and Dawn Jockel and her husband, Ralph, of Mars; a son, Curtis Price of Gibsonia; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a goddaughter, Joyce Medeiros of Florida. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Price Jr.; her daughter, Doris Ann Booth; an infant son; and her sister, Jean Harrington.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Dutilh United Methodist Church, 1270 Dutilh Road, Cranberry Township, with Pastor Dwayne Burfield officiating.
