PITTSBURGH — A borough attorney plans to address his investigation of a police officer who was with Ben Roethlisberger when the Steelers quarterback was accused of sex assault in Georgia.

Coraopolis solicitor Richard Start told The Associated Press he would address the matter at the borough's council meeting Wednesday evening.

The focus of Start's inquiry is Coraopolis officer Anthony Barravecchio, one of two police officers who were working as Roethlisberger's personal assistants and who witnesses say acted as bodyguards on March 5, the night Roethlisberger was accused of sexually assaulting a college student at a Milledgeville, Ga., nightclub.

Georgia prosecutors declined to charge Roethlisberger, citing a lack of evidence and reluctance by his accuser to press for charges. The actions of Barravecchio and Pennsylvania State Trooper Ed Joyner have been the subject of internal investigations.
