CRANBERRY TWP — A driver involved in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on Route 19 died after being taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.

Jennifer Fox, 27, of Zelienople died of head injuries, an investigator with the Allegheny County medical examiner's office said this morning.

Fox was driving a Volkswagen car when it struck a box truck from behind near the intersection of Route 19 and Rowan Road about 8 a.m. Monday.

The accident closed two lanes of northbound traffic on Route 19 as fire departments responded to the scene.

Fox was taken by helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital where she later died.

Cranberry police are investigating the accident.
