Evelyn Fay Sparn, 84, of Slippery Rock Township, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away suddenly Monday due to natural causes at her home.

Born in Pittsburgh, July 22, 1925, she was the daughter of John Loftus and Helen Fey Loftus.

She married Karl Emil Sparn in 1945, and he preceded her in death in 2002.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Karl E. Sparn Jr. and his wife, Louise M. Sparn, and two grandchildren, Katherine E. and Alex J. Sparn, all of Slippery Rock.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and James Loftus, and an infant sister, Dorothy.
