Earl W. 'Herky' Protzman

Earl W. "Herky" Protzman, 74, of Zelienople, died unexpectedly Friday at the Zelienople Sportsmen's Club, surrounded by his friends.

Born May 22, 1936, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Earl S. and Marie (Heyl) Protzman.

Mr. Protzman was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Zelienople Sportsmen's Club. He also enjoyed playing cards.

He is survived by two daughters, Debra Green and her husband, Troy of Conway, and Sue Protzman of Zelienople; two sons, George Protzman and Jeff Protzman, both of Zelienople; a brother, Terry Protzman of Cheswick; two sisters, Marlene Rubright of Export and Jackie Lombardi of Allison Park; three grandchildren, Lori White, Earl Schwalm Jr. and Jami Green. He also is survived by four great-grandchildren and his girlfriend of five years, Leona Daniels of Hookstown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Brogdin) Protzman, who died Oct. 11, 2001, and a son, Bob Protzman.

<B>PROTZMAN —</B> Friends of Earl W. "Herky" Protzman, who died Friday, July 2, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME,</B> 324 E.
