Walter Dize Jr.
Walter Dize Jr., 90, of Mars, Marshall Township, Allegheny County, died early this morning at his home.
Born in Philadelphia, July 10, 1920, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary Jane Dize Sr.
He was a retired postal worker for the U.S. Postal Service and was an Air Force veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church and the Scottish Rite and was a Mason.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Craig Dize, whom he married Dec. 30, 1944; one son, Spencer Dize and his wife, Daphne, of Wyomissing, Berks County; one brother, Tilford Dize of Wexford; and one sister, Jean Staley and her husband, George, of Gibsonia. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Christopher, Natalie and Nicholas Dize.
<B>DIZE</B> — Friends of Walter Dize Jr., who died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home Inc.</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter deVries, pastor of the Old Union Presbyterian Church, officiating.
