Band features fiddling, patriotism
The band Diamonds in the Rough from Thomas Music Studio in Sigel, Pa., will close out the farm show's musical entertainment at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Auditorium Pavilion.
The country music band has performed at fairs and festivals for more than 25 years. The group features Kim Thomas, a nationally recognized fiddle player.
The band combines the classic sounds of artists like Patsy Cline, George Jones and Conway Twitty with the contemporary stylings of Brooks & Dunn and other top country artists.
The group also emphasizes patriotism in its shows. Three band members are United States military veterans.
The studio also will provide participants for a fiddling contest at 5 p.m. Aug. 14 at the pavilion.
