Grimaldi

Carol J. Grimaldi, 52, of Salisbury, Md., passed away Dec. 30, 2009, at the Glens Falls Hospital in Glens Falls, N.Y.

Born Dec. 23, 1957, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Kim Grimaldi of Granville, N.Y., and the late John Grimaldi.

Carol graduated from Mars High School, attended Butler County Community College and received her bachelor's degree from Penn State University.

She was a civil engineer for the past 10 years with the USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service in Salisbury, Md. Before working in Salisbury, she also worked in the same capacity in California and in New Jersey.

Carol was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church in Salisbury and the Elk's Lodge 817 of Salisbury.

She loved horses, especially horseback riding, her dogs, and she enjoyed playing soccer. Carol also loved to travel and traveled extensively throughout the world.

Carol moved to Granville, N.Y., in December 2009 to be closer to her mother and sister.

In addition to her mother, Carol in survived by her daughter, who she loved and cherished, Kali Bourn Grimaldi of Salisbury, Md.; her sisters, Donna Stewart and her husband, Jim, of Weatherford, Texas, Mary Ann Burke and her husband, Jim, of Washington, W.Va., Jackie Charlton and her husband, Gil Powell, of Granville, N.Y., Patty Grimaldi of Bradenton, Fla., and Gail Schweiger and her husband, Scott, of Ellwood City. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews and great friends.

In addition to her father, Carol was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Grimaldi.

<B>GRIMALDI</B> — A graveside service for Carol J. Grimaldi, who died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 5, at the Mars Cemetery, where Carol will be buried beside her father and brother.
