Comtra Theatre, Route 19 in Cranberry Township, presents "Swingtime Canteen" through Aug. 7. Based on a real life USO show from 1944, a fading Hollywood star heads to London with her gal pals to put on a show for the troops. The all-female cast sings the greatest hits of the 1940s. <B>New Castle Playhouse</B>, 212 E. Long Ave. in New Castle, presents "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" through Sunday. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets for the musical are $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens age 60 and older and for students, and $10 for children age 12 and younger. <B>Quantum Theatre</B> stages "The Howling Miller," based on the novel by Finland's Arto Paasilinna, from today through Aug. 22 outdoors at the Frick Environmental Center, 2005 Beechwood Blvd. In the show, a stranger comes to a quiet town in northern Finland. Part hero, part howler, he's a man, a myth, and a metaphor for the fierce little country of Lapland in the post-war years. Curtain is at 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. The final show of the CLO season, "The Student Prince," runs Aug. 3 to 8. Shows are at 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets start at $20.50.
