Gertrude Olshenske

Gertrude Olshenske, 88, of Zelienople died Saturday at UPMC Cranberry Place.

Born April 22, 1922, in Pittsburgh, she was the wife of the late Carl A. Olshenske Sr.

Mrs. Olshenske was a 1940 graduate of Schenley High School and a member of the St. Gregory Catholic Church in Zelienople.

She was the loving mother of Carl Jr., of Islamorada, Fla., Patricia Grant (Greg) of Zelienople, Paul (Elizabeth) of Baden and the late Michael (Betsy) of Pittsburgh; the loving grandmother of David and Brianna Grant of Seattle, Mathew and Amy Grant of Raleigh, N.C., Rudolph Olshenske of Scranton, Elizabeth and Jesse Raabe of Baden, Emily and John Grime of Cranberry Township, Bradley Olshenske of Pittsburgh and Abigail Grant of Indiana; and great-grandmother to Ethan Grant and Megan Grant, of Seattle, Nathaniel Grant of Raleigh, N.C. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

<B>OLSHENSKE </B>— Friends of Gertrude Olshenske, who died Saturday, June 26, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with Father Robert Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Allegheny County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Gregory Catholic Church or the Zelienople Public Library.Online condolences and directions are available at www.boylanfuneralhome.com.
