Howell

Don Allen Howell, 69, of Saxonburg died Wednesday at his home.

Born May 14, 1941, in Leaksville, N.C., he was the son of Hoyle S. Howell and Frances Louise Joyce Howell.

He was retired as a fitter/fabricator for Lectromelt. He was a member of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company.

He enjoyed hunting, motorcycles, gardening, anything to do with John Deere Tractors and NASCAR.

He served in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves.

Surviving are his wife, Connie (Smith) Howell; two sons, Don A. Howell Jr. of Saxonburg and Jesse (Heather) Howell of Saxonburg; a daughter, Shannon Kate (Jim) Patterson of Indianola; two brothers, Stewart (Rosalie) Howell of Saxonburg and Samuel G. Howell of Butler; and five grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elaine.
