CRANBERRY TWP — Talisman Energy USA Wednesday afternoon officially dedicated its 52,000-square-foot U.S. shale headquarters in Pennwood Commons development of the RIDC Thorn Hill Industrial Park.

The company, which moved into the facility June 1, will employ 140 at the facility by the end of the year with plans to expand in the future.

Talisman Energy USA is a subsidiary of the Calgary, Canada-based Talisman Energy, one of North America's largest natural gas production companies.

The company plans to spend more than $1 billion in Pennsylvania shale drilling operations this year.
