Joseph R. Bonetti
Joseph R. Bonetti, 88, of Harrisville passed away at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Autumn Grove Care Center, where he had lived for a year.
He was born March 30, 1922, in Boyers, the son of the late James Bonetti and the late Carmella "Diana" Bonetti.
Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II in an artillery unit.
He retired from U.S. Steel in Saxonburg.
Joseph was a member of the Epiphany Catholic Church, the Harrisville American Legion, the VFW Post 249, the Sons of Italy in Boyers, and the Country Music Association.
Surviving are his daughter, Judith A. (Donald) McDougal of Harrisville; his son, James E. (Sylvia) Bonetti of Harrisville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carmella (Bob) Critchlow of North Carolina and Virginia Hockenberry of Harrisville; and four brothers, Furrie (Dora) Bonetti of Grove City, Eugene (Shirley) Bonetti of Butler, Albert (JoAnn) Bonetti of Slippery Rock and James (Marge) Bonetti of Boyers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Ann (Isacco) Bonetti, who died June 11, 1991; and five brothers.
<B>BONETTI</B> — Friends of Joseph R. Bonetti, who died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Epiphany Catholic Church, Boyers, with Father James Bedillion officiating. Interment will be in Epiphany Cemetery, Boyers.Vigil prayers will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
