HARRISBURG — A district judge ruled Wednesday prosecutors showed sufficient evidence to send the public corruption case against a former state lawmaker and revenue secretary to county court for trial.

District Judge William Wenner ruled in the theft, conspiracy and conflict-of-interest case against Stephen Stetler, who resigned from Gov. Ed Rendell's Cabinet shortly before charges against him were announced in December.

Stetler, 61, represented a York district in the House for 16 years and helped coordinate the House Democrats' campaign efforts.

BELLEFONTE — A judge must decide whether a fraternity accused of providing alcohol to a freshman should be held responsible for the student's death last fall.Alpha Tau Omega is on trial in the death of 18-year-old Penn State student Joseph Dado, whose body was found in September at the bottom of a stairwell.
