PITTSBURGH — Michael Marra of Butler is appearing in the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera production of "The Producers" running through Sunday at the Benedum Center, 719 Liberty Ave.
He portrays the roles of Mr. Marks, Kevin the costume designer, Jason Green and Stormtrooper Rolph to name a few.
A veteran of Broadway, Marra last played at the Benedum with the national tour of "Les Miserables" in the roles of the Bishop of Digne and Thenardier.
After living in New York for 18 years, he returned to Butler in 2007 to raise his family and be closer to his parents, Lewis and Edee Marra.
He has been featured locally in commercials for Molyneaux flooring, Washington Federal Savings and Eyetique.
He recently worked on the Russell Crowe film, "The Next Three Days."In addition to acting, Marra is also a technical director, scenic carpenter and set designer.While in New York, he created sets for off-Broadway shows, product launches and private high schools.
