Kenneth M. Ruediger, 69, of Easley, S.C., passed away May 28 in the Greenville Hospital after a long illness.

Ken was the retired owner/operator of Ken's Automotive in Middlesex Township, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Pickens, S.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve Kirkwood and Russell Joseph Ruediger; a sister Louise Ruediger Duke; and a brother Bud Ruediger.

He is survived by his 20-year companion, Terry Moore of the home; his children, Tracy Dillard and Terri Jo Faherty and her husband, Dave, all of North Carolina; his daughters' mother, Janice Ruediger of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and grandchildren, Anna, Hayden, Grady and Hope Dillard and Taylor and Jacob Ken Faherty. He also is survived by his chosen daughters, Tara Knight and her children, Bobby Lee and Zackary Knight of South Carolina and April Rowe and her husband, Gary Rowe, of West Virginia and their children, D.J., Matt, Garren and Asa of West Virginia; two brothers, Russ and Wayne Ruediger and a sister, Virginia Helsel, of Pennsylvania; a special niece, Darlene Duke Johnson; and many other nieces and nephews who were dear to his heart.

<B>RUEDIGER</B> — A celebration of the life of Kenneth M. Ruediger, who died Friday, May 28, 2010, will be held June 10 in Pickens, S.C., and June 12 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cancer Charities Foundation, 65 International Drive, Greenville, SC 29615.Condolences may be sent to tjmpaintntime@yahoo.com.
