John Paul Shedio Sr.
John Paul Shedio Sr., 91, of Winter Haven, Fla.,
passed away Saturday.He was born Nov. 24, 1918, in Butler.Mr. Shedio Sr. served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and he was a member of the VFW Post 249 and the Moose Lodge 64.He was a Boy Scout leader, and he also was the owner of Point Beauty salon in Butler.He retired and moved to Winter Haven in 1978. He worked as a packer for Publix and was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Lakeland.Mr. Shedio Sr. was quite a character with a personality and an avid gardener.He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Elvera Mae Shedio.Surviving are his children, Patricia S. Edwards
(Murray) of Lakeland, Fla., Jacqueline Mae Chambers (Michael) of Winter Haven, Fla., and John Paul Shedio Jr. (Susan) of Renfrew; a sister, Susan J. Shedio, and a brother, Milan Michael Shedio, both from Butler; grandchildren, Traci E. Coringrato, Angela Marie Kuss, Rebecca Mae Kirkpatrick, Jessica R. Shedio and Ryan Shedio; and eight great-grandchildren.
