Nicholas J. Geibel
Nicholas J. Geibel, 16, of Keck Road, Butler, died early Sunday morning at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh as the result of injuries suffered Saturday evening in an ATV accident.
He was born in Butler on Sept. 10, 1993, a son of Pat and Michaele Geibel.
Nick was a member of the junior class of Butler High School and a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Carbon Center.
His passion was riding, and he was well known for his skill with his dirt bike and the quad.
Surviving are his parents; a brother, Jacob Geibel; two sisters, Chelsea and Mariah Geibel; his grandparents, Rita Musthaf (Geibel) of Butler and Charles and Sheryl Geibel Jr. of Chicora; his great-grandparents, Ann Geibel of Butler and Ted Hartle of Chicora; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins in the Butler County area.
Nick was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gerald Geibel; his stepgrandfather, Joseph Musthaf; and his cousin, Sylvester Rhodaberger.
<B>GEIBEL </B>— Friends of Nicholas J. Geibel, who died Sunday, June 6, 2010, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Carbon Center, 210 St. Wendelin Road, Butler. The Rev. Steven V.
