Jacob G. Etter, 101, of Zelienople passed away Monday in the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

Born in Pittsburgh, Feb. 23, 1909, he was the son of the late Jacob and Anna Geschwind Etter.

Mr. Etter was a member of the St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, Zelienople.

He was a pattern maker for Aetna Standard Engineering, Ellwood City.

He had been very active in delivery for Meals on Wheels in the Zelienople area.

Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie (Raymond) Penland of Grove City; a son, Donald (Barbara) Etter of Zelienople; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Ely of Grove City, Abigail (Nicholas) Mohrbacher of Rochester and Grant Etter, Zelienople.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen M. Kniess Etter, who died 32 years ago; two brothers; and two sisters.
