Lois Mae Greenway

Lois Mae (McDeavitt) Greenway, 92, formerly of Mercer Road, Butler, died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday in the Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot.

Born Nov. 26, 1917, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Berton McDeavitt and the late Meda Mae (Wimer) McDeavitt.

Mrs. Greenway was a homemaker.

She was a member of Christ Community United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting and reading.

She loved her family and researching her family genealogy.

Mrs. Greenway is survived by two sons, Larry Greenway and his wife, Joyce, of Cabot and Glenn Greenway and his wife, Loren, of Connoquenessing; two daughters, Mona Henricks and her husband, James, of Grove City and Nancy Ford and her husband, Edward, of Butler; 11 grandchildren, James Henricks, Eric Henricks, Cheryl McAnallen, Lisa Webster, Linda Eperthener, the Rev. Berton Greenway, Elaine Meals, Denise Fair, Edward Ford, Douglas Ford and Lily Greenway; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard McDeavitt and his wife, Monica, of Elizabethtown, Ky.; one sister, Rita Jacobs and her husband, Kenneth, of Baldwinsville, N.Y.; seven nieces; and eight nephews.

Mrs. Greenway was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon R. "Red" Greenway, who was deceased on Oct. 14, 1993; and by one brother, one sister and an infant great-granddaughter.

<B>GREENWAY</B> — Friends of Lois Mae (McDeavitt) Greenway, who died Saturday, June 5, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc.</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Howard Burrell, of Christ Community United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 100 W.
