Frances C. Hough, 89, of Collegeview Towers, Grove City, formerly of Millbrook Road, Jackson Center, Mercer County, where she lived for 44 years, died at 10:16 p.m., Wednesday at the Grove City Medical Center.

She was born in Brownsville on Aug. 15, 1920, the daughter of George W. Christner and Grace Ellen Coleman.

She married David N. Hough on June 14, 1940. He died in August 1988.

Mrs. Hough was a homemaker.

She was a member of the former Schoefield United Methodist, Millbrook.

She enjoyed ceramics, sewing, building and furnishing doll houses.

She is survived by four children, Grace Martin and her husband, Ronald, of Fayette City, John D. Hough and his wife, Rhonda, of Butler, Kathryn Mathay of Jackson Center and Flossie Cunningham and her husband, Lee, of Jackson Center; a brother, William "Bill" Christner and his wife, Betty, of Brownsville; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Dorothy Jean Collers.
