Paffrath Jr.

Edward J. Paffrath Jr., 63, of the Terrace Apartments, 111 S. Cliff St., died May 15 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born in Butler on July 9, 1946, a son of the Late Edward J. and Sybil Graham Paffrath Sr.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Ed had served in Vietnam aboard the USS Kittyhawk.

He enjoyed building model cars, playing video games, taking day trips driving throughout Western Pennsylvania and visiting Moraine State Park.

Surviving are a son, Michael Paffrath of Butler; a daughter, Michelle Hall of Butler; his companion, Marlene Lutz; a brother, Stephen G. Paffrath of Herman; a sister, Mary Victoria White and her husband, Larry, of Butler; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

<B>PAFFRATH </B>—<B> </B>There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial for Edward J. Paffrath Jr., who died Saturday, May 15, 2010, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler. The pastor, the Rev. James W. Dolan, will officiate.
