ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Independence Day Parade and Community Day activities will be Monday.

The parade will be at 11 a.m. with the Community Day activities at the Zelienople Community Park following the parade about noon.

The annual parade is sponsored by the Zelienople Rotary Club.

The parade route includes: line-up on High Street proceeding north; west on Grandview Avenue; south on Main Street; east on Beaver Street with the conclusion at the community park.

Parade line-up will begin at 10 a.m. Parade participants may register the day of the parade.

Parade participants are reminded they may not throw candy from floats or vehicles.

Should parade participants want to distribute candy, they may do so by walking along the parade route and handing the candy to the spectators.

The Community Park Association is planning a number of activities including food and entertainment.

The day's festivities conclude with a fireworks display by Zambelli Fireworks Internationale at 10 p.m. in the Community Park off East Beaver Street.
