Helen C. Hufnagel, 96, of Harmony died peacefully Sunday at her home.

Born June 24, 1913, in Wexford, she was the daughter of Charles and Helena (Wagner) Richard.

Mrs. Hufnagel was a longtime member of St. Gregory Catholic Church, Zelienople, where she assisted with church dinners and at the annual lawn fetes.

She formerly attended the Keenagers in Portersville, and she loved crocheting and baking.

She is survived by two daughters, Helen Parks of Harmony and Marjorie Helgeson of Sheboygan, Wis.; three sons, James Hufnagel of Fombell, Richard "Bud" Hufnagel of Harrisville and Robert Hufnagel of Golden, Colo.; and two sisters, Hilda Peger of Wexford and Grace Lang of Maryland; Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Hufnagel Jr., who died April 1, 1994; three sons, Howard, Charles and William Hufnagel; and a daughter, Jean Hogue.

<B>HUFNAGEL</B> — Friends of Helen C. Hufnagel, who died Sunday, May 23, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Service</B>, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople. Interment will follow in the St. Gregory Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W.
