Outdoor Discovery program presents "Bluebirds of Pennsylvania" at 7 p.m. today in the Carousel Shelter at Alameda Park. A speaker from the state Game Commission will talk about why these birds live where they do, how they have adapted to survive, what they eat, and when to put out bluebird boxes. The Game Commission will be bringing material to make boxes, so participants are to take a hammer and take home a bluebird box. The program on June 24 will be "Turtle Talk." Moraine State Park will be the site of "Bluebirds, The Fledging Experience" at 1 p.m. Saturday; meet at Pavilion 7 at the McDanel's Launch on the North Shore. A family fishing program is set for 1 p.m. Sunday at the Bear Run boat launch on the South Shore. Families must be registered in advance and should arrive promptly at 1 p.m. Call 724-368-8811.

<B>McConnells Mill State Park</B>, Slippery Rock Township, just over the Butler County line into Lawrence County, has opened the old mill through Labor Day. Programs will include "Whole Grain Goodness" at 2 p.m. Saturday and "Native Plants for Your Garden" at 2 p.m. Sunday. Mill hours are 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Interpretive tours of the historic mill, lasting about 45 minutes, will be available at 1 and 2 p.m. Fridays and at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.<B>The fifth annual Custaloga Town French and Indian War Encampment</B> will take place on Father's Day weekend, Saturday and Sunday, at the Custaloga Town Scout Reservation, 7 Boy Scout Lane, near Cochranton, Crawford County. Musketry, artillery, colonial-themed artwork, tradesmen, games and lectures will be part of the re-enactment. The encampment will be open for public view from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Call the French Creek Living History Association at 814-694-3684.
