LOCK HAVEN — A man has been sentenced to 70 to 196 years in prison in a February 2009 assault on three central Pennsylvania university students, two of whom were raped repeatedly at knifepoint.

A Clinton County jury in March convicted 25-year-old Domenique Wilson of Philadelphia of more than three dozen charges including rape, indecent deviate sexual intercourse and unlawful restraint in the attack on the Lock Haven students.

PITTSBURGH — Authorities have arrested a 16-year-old girl in the shooting death of a man last month.Nineteen-year-old Andre Alexander of Wilkinsburg was shot and killed May 30 in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh. Police said the shooting followed an argument between a group of young people.Police said Monday the 16-year-old girl was charged with conspiracy and solicitation to commit homicide. They are also seeking a 19-year-old man believed to be homeless.

STATE COLLEGE — Penn State officials say a graduate student was stranded in a campus elevator for about seven hours due to a brief weekend power outage.Campus police spokesman Tyrone Parham says the student was working in Keller Building on the State college campus and got into the elevator at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday. The elevator got stuck on the way to the first floor, and it had no emergency phone — and Parham says the student did not have a cell phone.
