I know exactly where you mean because that's where they directed me! It's a disgusing swamp. I wouldn't even get out of the car, let alone let him swim out there. If a town like Akron, OH, who has a very nice dog park, fenced in where the dogs can be off leash, can have one, I don't understand why there isn't one at Moraine. One like that would be ideal, but I know there is no money, so just let the dogs swim at the small beach where people launch their catamarans, and require they stay on leash. Moraine is such a beautiful place. I would really like to know the reason why no dogs are allowed! If it is posted as a dog friendly beach, people who are afraid of dogs can go elsewhere. (Maybe the park director is afraid of dogs??!) Butler continues to remain 20-30 years behind the rest of the country. It is embarrassing.
