BUTLER TWP — Butler High graduate and Butler County Community College freshman Antonio Baroffio will play in the NJCAA Division III national tournament Sunday through next Friday at Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, N.Y.

Baroffio placed eighth out of 30 golfers at the Region XX event in Annapolis, Md., to qualify for nationals. He was an all-conference and an all-state selection in the fall.

LOS ANGELES — Former UCLA basketball coach and Hall of Famer John Wooden was hospitalized in Los Angeles.The university said in an e-mail late Thursday night that Wooden is at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center but that his family didn't want anyone with the school to comment on his condition.Los Angeles television station KCAL and the Los Angeles Times first reported that Wooden was in "grave" condition.
