A benefit concert for Eugene Somogy, who was in an ATV accident, will be held at 1 p.m. June 12 at the Jaycees Shelter at Alameda Park off New Castle Road.Bands scheduled to play include Absolute Malice, Ninth Haven, Suffer Your Charm, Nazgul, Ursus and Nina8mana.There will also be food, raffles and a chinese auction. Proceeds will be used for Somogy's medical bills and for living expenses for his wife and two young children.

AMBRIDGE — Oktoberfest in June, a fundraiser for Old Economy Village, will be hosted from 6 to 10 p.m. June 12 by Penn Brewery at the historic site at 14th and Church streets.The event will offer the brewery's flagship Penn Pilsner along with other beers, dinner and entertainment at the Granary within the historic village grounds. Audubon and Butler Freeport Community Trail-hosted Bird/Nature Walks will be held at 9 a.m. the second Wednesday of each month throughout the summer beginning June 9.The walks start at the Monroe trail head.
