MERCERSBURG — Authorities said an out-of-control car struck a curb, went airborne and hit two trees, killing all three people in the vehicle.

The Franklin County coroner identified the victims as Gregory Burt, 20, Michelle Monninger, 39, and Nicole Shoemaker, 27. They were pronounced dead at the scene in Mercersburg on Saturday night.

Coroner Jeffrey Conner said all three were from Mercersburg and they were related.

Police said none of the victims was wearing a seat belt and all three were thrown from the car. Police have not yet identified the driver.

PHILADELPHIA — Authorities said dozens of prisoners who could be freed under electronic monitoring remain in jail because of a shortage of ankle bracelets.Court administrator David Lawrence said there are about 773 people on electronic monitoring and 73 on the waiting list.Deputy Mayor Everett Gillison said the cash-strapped city hopes to buy 100 more bracelets by early this week. They cost about $1,300 each.Tom Innes, the director of prison services for the Defender Association of Philadelphia, says usually only 10 to 15 people are waiting for bracelets.

INDIANA — A man died in a tractor accident at his farm.The Indiana County coroner's office said Donald James Burley, 71, was mowing a field at his Pine Township farm when the tractor overturned and pinned him underneath at about 3 p.m. Sunday.

WARMINSTER — Police are on the lookout for two women who were caught on surveillance video stealing a pair of charity donation jars.Police in Warminster said the two young women made off with the jars from a 7-Eleven store May 23. Sgt. Scott Selisker said one woman distracted the clerk while the other took jars containing donations for the Wheeled Scotsman Foundation and the Christine McGee Fund.
