Police ID suspect in Westmoreland County shootings that killed 1, injured 2

CALUMET — Police are identifying the man they say shot and killed a passer-by in Western Pennsylvania and wounded two family members.

Authorities said Raymond Piper Sr., 36, was arrested Tuesday night in this small Westmoreland County town. He is in the Westmoreland County Jail.

Police believe Piper shot his wife and daughter in their home and shot and killed 42-year-old Stacey Feiling of Mount Pleasant after flagging her car down outside. Police believe Piper then set the house on fire.

Piper's wife and daughter were hospitalized. Their conditions were not immediately known.

Authorities planned to charge Piper with criminal homicide. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
