SRU offers youth events
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University offers a number of summer recreational programs for children and teens.

Morning Camp SeriesAebersold Recreation Center youth morning camps are for children ages 8 to 12, and are at the ARC building on campus. Camps will run from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday.•ARC Kids Morning Sports Camp, June 12 to 15; campers will participate in sports including basketball, badminton, volleyball and dodge ball.• ARC Kids Morning Outdoor Adventure, June 21 to 24; campers will be able to rock climb, hike and kayak at McConnells Mill State Park along with other activities.•ARC Kids Morning Fun and Fit Camp, July 19 to 22; campers will learn the benefits of exercise through a variety of fun fitness activities.
Youth Adventure Programs•Youth Caving Adventure Trip, Casparis Caves, June 15; ages 12 to 18 will spend a day caving, and exploring decorations, crawls, a water course and waterfall.•Sea Kayak Day Trip to Moraine State Park, June 19; kayakers, ages 14 and up, will spend the day on Lake Arthur.• Youth Outdoor Adventure/Environmental Camp, June 28 to July 1; campers ages 12 and up, will rock climb, kayak in the university pool, and learn about the environment at the Robert A. Macoskey Center.• White Water Kayak Camp, July 5 to July 8: A four-day basic river kayaking course for ages 14 and up. Campers will kayak in the SRU pool, Lake Arthur and rivers.
