Jeep nights celebrated Tuesdays
CENTER TWP — Jeep fans have something new to get revved up about with a special night each week for Jeep owners to show off their vehicles.
Butler County's Jeep Night, which is sponsored by the Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau, is one way to promote the county's fame as the birthplace of the Jeep.
Jeep Night will be held each Tuesday during the summer and fall at the Clearview Mall. The first one will be held at 6 p.m. June 1.
"Car cruises are popular events all summer long, and we thought it made perfect sense to bring together Jeep enthusiasts so they can have some fun each week and meet other Jeep owners who share the same passion for their Jeep," said Jack Cohen, executive director of the tourism bureau, in a news release.
Commemorative dash plaques will be given to the first 100 Jeeps that are registered at the first Jeep Night on June 1. Clearview Mall will offer participants special discounts and other promotions.
Registration is not required, and all that Jeep owners need to do to participate is show up in the front, right parking lot and bring a lawn chair.
