MUDDY CREEK TWP — State police are looking for two suspects for stealing flat-screen televisions.

District Judge Tim Shaffer today issued police arrest warrants for Joshua T. Bennett, 19, and Michael John Wallace Scott, 21, both of Muddy Creek Township.

They are accused of breaking into a pair of mobile homes in the same trailer park and stealing three flat-screen televisions, state police said.

The stolen TVs, worth a combined $1,750, were sold for $300, according to court documents.

The defendants are charged with two counts each of burglary, conspiracy and theft, and a charge of criminal mischief.

The first break-in at Lake Arthur Estates was discovered March 13. Walter Morey said someone had removed a rear window screen to get inside his home and took two TVs, a 32-inch set and a 22-inch set.

The next day, Rita Rozic reported a similar crime at her home, where a 37-inch set was stolen.

The investigation soon led police to Scott, who was interviewed at his home April 1.

It didn't take long for Scott to confess to the crimes and implicate Bennett as an accomplice, according to police.

Police suspect the pair broke into the homes between March 12 and 14.
