Ken McMurdy Sr.

In loving memory of our beloved dad, Ken McMurdy Sr., who passed away two years ago today, May 18.

Dear Dad,

When we were very young you could fix anything from a broken bicycle to a broken heart. Amazingly, you had the answers to everything too. For a little while we started to think that we knew better than you did and we did things our own way. We didn't ask for your opinion anymore (although you sometimes gave it anyway). As we became older we appreciated your thoughts once again. Now, we only wish we could ask . . . Dad, what would you do? What do you think would be best?

It's been two years and in that two years there have been so many times we'd have liked your input, or to have seen your smile and hear your laugh instead of it just echoing through our memories. There were so many times we needed you to be with us. There were many times that we expected you to walk through the door.

We're so blessed to be such a close family, but that does make it more difficult to say goodbye. We wouldn't trade the pain we're feeling now for all of the memories we've shared. We've been told that's the price we pay for loving someone.
