PITTSBURGH — A Pittsburgh woman is facing charges after being pulled from a car by the man she allegedly stole it from.

Monique Harris, 22, was arraigned early today on charges she stole a car from a man who had given her a place to stay a night earlier.

Valentino Amaro told a Pittsburgh television station that Harris had left with his car and wallet Tuesday morning, so he spent the day in the neighborhood where he'd met her. He says he spotted Harris behind the wheel of his car and pulled her from the vehicle while she was stopped at a traffic light.

Police say Harris crashed the car while trying to get away.

Harris remains jailed on $5,000 bail.

PITTSBURGH — A discount bus carrier is now carrying passengers from Pittsburgh to New York City.Megabus.com started service in Pittsburgh Tuesday when its first bus left about 7 a.m. A second daily bus will depart at 4:40 p.m.The Megabus.com service also will go through State College, home to Penn State University.Megabus.com is part of Coach USA and was launched about four years ago.Pittsburgh passengers will board and near the David L. Lawrence Convention Center downtown.
