Northwest Savings to buy NexTier Bank
BUTLER TWP — NexTier Bank is being bought by the parent company of Northwest Savings Bank for $20.3 million, according to a news release from both banks. The sale was announced Wednesday.
This change will make Northwest the second largest bank in Butler County, up from seventh. It also adds 12 branches and $345 million of deposits in Butler County.
The boards of both NexTier, which is headquartered in Butler Township, and Northwest, which is headquartered in Warren, agreed to the sale and the process is expected to finish by the end of the year.
