Twenty years ago that fateful night

You were gone in the blink of an eye

God wanted you then, so he took you home

No last hug - no final goodbye

At times it seems like yesterday

Most others - ALL of twenty years

Thankfully now, memories bring more smiles

And not quite so many tears

That's not to say as long as it's been

That we still don't feel

This must be a dream

It can't be real

Since leaving this world

And your earthly life

You've been joined by your

Parents, grandparents and wife

Please know that you are loved and missed

More than words can say

Not just today - but every day.
