It sounds like you are jealous that teachers are not equal to you in paying health care. Do you complain about Metcalf paying nothing? Do you complain about your retirement package being better than a CYS caseworker or even your salary? Do you complain about your job security versus a worker at II-VI? Since when is all equal and should others have less because mine is less. Your argument is ludicrous and irrational. You know when all of you will be happy? When no one is going into education anymore to teach our children because starting salaries are better elsewhere. Because the pension plan has been wiped out and because there is no respect. Congratulations as we are almost there. Whom would want their child to go into an occupation that is continually maligned and open to criticism because they are funded by tax payers. I don't. My friend works at BMH and she makes her bills out at work. Gee maybe I should write a letter complaining about her benefits since my health care costs are going up because SHE is making a salary. Instead of tearing down why don't you try building it up. Better yet all you moaners why don't you go to SRU and get your teaching degree. Personally I don't think I could teach children. I wouldn't have the patience to do it. Shame on all you. But the sad thing is your jealousy will never let you change.
