HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania's Game Commission has set the dates of the 2010-2011 deer seasons.

The commission's board approved the season dates on Tuesday.

The deer-season calendar provides for a split season in eight wildlife management units — twice as many as last year — that take in the middle of the state and its northeast corner.

In those areas, there will be a five-day, bucks-only season from Nov. 29 through Dec. 3, followed by a concurrent, antlered and antlerless deer season from Dec. 4 through Dec. 11.

In the other 14 wildlife management units, concurrent hunting for bucks and does will be permitted Nov. 29 through Dec. 11.

The board also approved changes in the allocation of antlerless deer permits and set hunting dates for bear, turkey and small game.
